Inter County – Girls Under 15 – Stage 1

On Saturday 10th October 2015 the Derbyshire U15 girls took part in the National Inter County Stage 1 event at Yarm Squash Club.
The young team was made up of five girls all from Princes Sports Club Chesterfield, Libby Leivers, Hannah Hicken, Lucy Kenworthy, Morgan Higginson & Rebecca Cosgrove.
They had success with a great win against Durham in the first round and finished in third place overall, losing to the favourites Yorkshire and Northumberland.
The team spirit was united in the fact that they all got on so well and the girls look forward to representing Derbyshire again in the Stage 2 event which takes place in November.

Inter County – Boys Under 13

The boys had a really enjoyable day at Grantham, we started off by
beating Nottinghamshire 5 – 0 ( 21-1). Then we came second against Yorkshire
1,losing 5-0 (21-0) but they did have Lee Beachill’s son at No1. Then our
last match was against Lincolnshire to see who came SECOND!!!!!
unfortunately it was not Derbyshire but we did have some close games Adam
lost 3-0 8/11, 9/11, 10/12 and Chris Jerram taking a game off the
Lincolnshire No 4. we lost the match 5 – 0 (21-1). not bad for a last minute
team who are looking forward to stage 2.
